The 2009 NFL season represents an odd journey for Bill Belichick. From the controversy of 4th and 2 to Randy Moss “dogging it”, he’s had a few hurdles to clear. However, none of that stops him from becoming the fifth inductee to the JMRA Hall of Fame.

This is Dre Bly. The 49ers cornerback made perhaps the biggest bonehead play of the season through five weeks. After intercepting Falcons QB Matt Ryan, Bly proceeded to go into “Prime Time” mode and started celebrating about 60 yards before he got to the endzone. Closely paying attention, Roddy White ran up from behind and [...]

Rumored to be in the market for a receiver for months, the Jets nabbed Braylon Edwards from the Browns in a trade completed on Wednesday morning. The Browns get receiver Chansi Stuckey, linebacker Jason Trusnik, and undisclosed picks in the deal.

As we sit hours away from Favre vs. the Packers, it conjures up memories from 1994 of the Joe Montana versus Steve Young and the 49ers battle in Kansas City.
Here is a great clip from the America’s Game documentary on the 1994 49ers followed by a recap of the action from George Michael’s Sports Machine.

Here is the CBS intro from one of the all-time great playoff games. I’m a Montana fan but this was a fantastic game despite Leonard Marshall ending his career as a 49er.

After being a little quiet after the start of free agency, the Cards have been in the news thanks to their back and forth negoations with QB Kurt Warner. The Pro Bowl quarterback visited the 49ers on Monday but now the Niners are denying making an offer to Warner. So, this means they are on [...]

Remember when Mike Singletary said the 49ers were going to put the “F” back in physical a few weeks back? In that same speech, he said that he would not name Shaun Hill as the team’s starter because it would breed competition by not making such a proclamation.
Translating Singletary’s footballese, that’s code for “we’ll look [...]

At a team function on Monday night, 49ers head coach Mike Singletary promised Niner fans that team would be “physical with an F.” Not sure what that means, but I’m guessing it means he plans on his players bringing the pain every gameday. He also had some interesting words regarding former offensive coordinator Mike Martz [...]
