Just like that he was gone and I don’t like it. I’m fully aware the Phillies grabbed the most dominant right handed pitcher of the decade in the majors but something just doesn’t seem right. It wasn’t supposed to end like this.
The Phillies acquired Cliff Lee on July 29th and quickly it came to pass [...]

Bare with me through our latest voyage. Thanks to the Phils’ World Series loss, I’m in a bit of an ornery mood these days. My email box and Facebook account has been swamped with arrogant and cocksure emails from Yankee fans celebrating title 27. Most of which I can’t even put in print.
On Thursday, I [...]

The Phillies season is over. Naturally, I’m in mourning as the Yankees laid their repeat chances to rest last night in a 7-3 victory in Game 6 of the World Series. It was a great 371 days to be on top of the mountain. Much like Randy Savage in 1989, we just ran into a [...]

Chase Utley extended the life of the Phils in Game 5 of the World Series with a pair of homers to help support Cliff Lee’s pitching effort. The scorn of some earlier in the playoffs due to a lack of hitting and fielding mistakes, Utley is putting one of the best World Series shows of [...]

We’re about two hours away from Game 5 of the World Series and the pain from last night’s loss still hasn’t subsided. This pic courtesy of the700level.com sums it up perfectly.

Words cannot express my disappointment over Game 4 of the World Series. Brad Lidge…ugh. That hurt.

Granted, it’s only one game but still…what a game it was. Cliff Lee dominated the Yankees in a 6-1 win. The most impressive part of his performance was the considerable ease in which he did it with. As illustrated in this picture from the700level.com, it was simply child’s play for the 2008 Cy Young winner. [...]

Mission Possible begins for the Phillies tonight in the Bronx when they try to take down the mighty New York Yankees in the World Series. While either fanbase will be massively disappointed with defeat, the true losers are Cleveland Indians fans. The Indians managed to trade away two Cy Young winners in the last year [...]

As we stand days away from a potential Phillies-Yankees World Series and the biggest sports fan battle to hit the east coast in decades, it is time to issue a test.
I’m declaring open season on all fraudulent fans; and as they say on the streets, let’s not get it twisted. I love my Phillie fan [...]

The Phillies slammed the Dodgers 10-4 to repeat as National League champions and get back to the World Series. Now, Philadelphia aims to become the first National League team since the ‘75-’76 Reds to repeat as World Series champions. The Reds swept the Yankees in order to do so. Some 20 years later, the Braves tried [...]
