As we sit hours away from Favre vs. the Packers, it conjures up memories from 1994 of the Joe Montana versus Steve Young and the 49ers battle in Kansas City.

It was on this day back in 1953 that Joseph Clifford Montana Jr. jumped into our lives. Little did we know that he would win four Super Bowls, two MVPs and have a blog named after his golden right arm.

The namesake for this site is in the news. Joe Montana recently signed on to be an assistant football coach at Oaks Christian High School in California. The drawing card for Joe? His son Nick plays quarterback for the school, which normally doesn’t allow fathers to coach their sons.
